Hillary Scott Of Lady Antebellum Buys First Home
There is no denying that things have been good for Hillary Scott and her group Lady Antebellum as of late. The group is hot off their CMA wins for Vocal Group of the Year and Single of the Year and only appear to be gaining momentum! Hillary is celebrating their success with the purchase of a new home, her first!
“I just signed the papers on my house, the first house ever. Like it’s finalized today. So I’m celebrating that, too,” she said before the CMA Awards on Wednesday in Nashville.
Just a sign that the 24-year-old singer is growing up, having a mortgage.
“I’m like, ‘Welcome to being a grown-up, Hillary.’ You know? It’s like, ‘Oh my gosh, now I have a mortgage.’ This is scary,” she said.
Dave Haywood, guitarist for Lady Antebellum, is the last member of the band that doesn't own his own place yet, instead he rents a condo. Singer Charles Kelley, though, had some advice for Hillary on her new purchase. “It’s something all the time, I can tell her that right there,” he said with a smile.
Congratulations Hillary!
