ABC’s Extreme Makeover Home Edition Nashville Episode To Air November 14th
Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood and LeAnn Rimes will have appearances in an upcoming episode of the popular ABC series Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Originally slated to air November 7th, it has now been reportedly moved back a week to November 14th, according to ABC. The show is known for its charitable efforts in helping organizations and individuals in need who have experienced disaster, tragedy, hardship etc. as well as honoring people who have stepped up to aid in various ways throughout their communities. In this episode Ty Pennington and his team of experts and community volunteers spend a week rebuilding the Lighthouse Christian School which is located near Nashville. Back in May, when Nashville was hit hard by two days of flooding, this was one of many properties and establishments to be affected by extensive damage. The show usually airs in the 7pm (CST) time slot. Based on previous episodes of the show and past footage of the flooding, if you tune in, I’d say it might be a good idea to have some kleenex nearby.
In The Spotlight: All Access Nashville
Robin Roberts takes you behind the scenes with country music's hottest stars. Air date is November 3, 2010. Roberts will get up close and personal with such country superstars as Brad Paisley, LeAnn Rimes and Carrie Underwood. The special also takes viewers inside the amazing homes of some of country music's biggest stars, including an exclusive tour of Kellie Pickler's new Nashville home.
Roberts gets up close and personal with LeAnn Rimes at her California home. For the first time on camera, Rimes opens up about the breakup of her marriage and the controversial affair with actor Eddie Cibrian that made tabloid headlines.
Roberts gets a backstage pass to Brad Paisley's tour, and also visits him and his wife, actress Kimberly Williams Paisley, who rarely does interviews, at their sprawling estate outside Nashville.
Carrie Underwood invites Roberts backstage on tour and opens up about her big year musically and personally, including her recent wedding to hockey star Mike Fisher.
LeAnn Rimes Shape Magazine Controversy
Let's make a long story short here. Shape Magazine put LeAnn Rimes on the cover of their magazine and received some complaints from a few readers. By few I mean approximately 40 complaints for a magazine with a 6 million circulation. The editor of Shape, Valerie Latona, responded to those complaints with an email that called Rimes a "husband stealer" and apologized to those readers for putting her on the cover. Latona has recently backpedaled on her comments saying:
When a number of readers expressed concern about our featuring LeAnn Rimes on the cover of our October 2010 issue, I was concerned. I don’t want anyone to be unhappy—so I took the time to write a personal note to them, apologizing for not having someone on the cover they wanted to see and hoping to do right by them the next time. (I do this many times for all cover stars and you really can’t ever please everyone all the time.)
LeAnn Rimes has responded to the story with anger and confusion since the Shape Magazine staff is still planning a party to honor her and celebrate the cover. I can understand why.
