Eddie Montgomery Undergoes Successful Surgery
Eddie Montgomery, of Montgomery Gentry, is resting at home after successful prostate cancer surgery earlier this week, his publicist confirmed on Friday. Montgomery, the brother of country singer John Michael Montgomery, announced that he had cancer in November.
According to a press release, "The doctors report that no further treatment should be needed, and he plans to enjoy some down time at home with his family."
Montgomery and musical partner Troy Gentry are scheduled to embark on a USO tour early next year.
Eddie Montgomery To Undergo Cancer Surgery
Eddie Montgomery of Montgomery Gentry has been diagnosed with prostate cancer and will undergo surgery in December, he confirmed on Thursday.
"I will be back in January ready to rock for all the fans," he said in a written statement. "Please keep my family and [me] in your prayers."
Montgomery Gentry are currently on the road in Canada for a show tonight in WIndsor, Ontario. They will return to Nashville for the Charlie Daniels' Annual Christmas 4 Kids show at the Ryman Auditorium on Monday, November 22nd.
The guys are schedule to resume touring in February, 2011. We'll keep you in our prayers Eddie.
