The Band Perry Celebrates First #1 Single

Press Release – Nashville, Tennessee – The Band Perry celebrated their first #1 single with “If I Die Young,” written by Kimberly Perry, at a BMI-hosted soirée earlier this week in Nashville. In addition to reaching the top of the charts, the single was also certified Platinum by the RIAA for sales exceeding one million copies.

BMI, Country Radio Broadcasters, Country Music Association and Country Aircheck made presentations in celebration of the accolade while Avenue Bank donated $250 to the Greeneville Food Bank, a charity selected by The Band Perry. Republic Nashville also honored the sibling trio for their accomplishment, which earned the inaugural #1 for the label as well.

Blake Shelton Continues “All About Tonight” Tour in 2011

Calling all “BSer’s” Blake Shelton wants you to get ready for some fun and, you guessed it…a lot more BS in 2011. Why? Because he certainly is…

2010 was a great year for Shelton and the reigning CMA Male Vocalist of the Year can’t think of a better way to kick-off 2011 than with his fans. The “All About Tonight” tour began last October and was the first headlining experience for Blake.

“I’m excited to get back out there and perform for my fans. They made last year the best year of my life and I hope to make each night of this tour one of the most memorable nights of their lives. I’m hoping this tour will prepare me for co-hosting the ACM Awards with the queen of country music, Reba. There’s no better practice as my fans are always great at keeping me on my toes.”

Joining Shelton out on the road are Easton Corbin, Steel Magnolia, The Band Perry and Chris Young. The tour will visit 20 cities from now until early May.

The Band Perry To Perform On Leno And Ellen

Press Release – Nashville, Tennessee – While backstage at the historic Ryman Auditorium last night, The Band Perry took to Ustream to break their latest exciting news to fans. The trio of siblings, who have become one of Country Music's hottest new bands, are set to perform on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Friday, January 28 and The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday, January 31.

In celebration of their Grammy and ACM nominations, The Band Perry will perform their Platinum single, "If I Die Young."

The band's next Ustream live chat will occur on January 27.

The Band Perry Earns First-Ever Grammy Nomination Just Days After First #1 Radio Hit

Press Release - Nashville, Tennessee (December 2, 2010) – The Band Perry (Kimberly, Neil and Reid) heard of their first-ever Grammy nomination mid-show last night while performing to a capacity crowd in Calgary, Alberta, Canada during a special show for Calgary 105 FM listeners.

As the sibling trio prepared to launch into their current #1 hit "If I Die Young," the show was stopped by a Big Machine Label Group/Republic Nashville representative who gave the band and their audience the amazing news.

As the crowd went wild, Kimberly Perry, who wrote the band's runaway hit was nearly speechless saying, "Thank you - this has been a whirlwind year and we have you guys and Country radio to thank."

The Band Perry gave a bow of acknowledgment to the cheers of the crowd and didwhat they do best, performed the rest of a fantastic, high energy show.

Earlier this week, The Band Perry’s “If I Die Young” hit #1 on the US Country radio charts, according to both Billboard Magazine and Country Aircheck/USA Today powered by Mediabase.

ABC and Dick Clark Productions have announced this year's 2010 American Music Awards presenters. The roster includes Julianne Hough, Lady Antebellum, The Band Perry, Christina Milian, Eric Stonestreet, Heidi Klum, Jenny McCarthy, Jessica Alba, John Legend, Johnny Weir, Julie Benz, Kelly Osbourne, Keri Hilson, Mandy Moore, Michael Chiklis, Mike Posner, Natasha Bedingfield, Nathan Fillion, Nicki Minaj, Rico Rodriguez, Ryan Seacrest, Samuel L. Jackson, Seal, Sheryl Crow, Stana Katic, Taio Cruz, Trey Songz, and Willow Smith, in addition to some surprise appearances.

Artists will be honored in the categories of Pop/Rock, Country, Rap/Hip-Hop, Soul/R&B, Alternative, Adult Contemporary, Latin, Soundtracks and Contemporary Inspirational.
