Okay, technically a Reba and Barbara Jean reunion isn’t happening but their portrayers, country music icon Reba McEntire and actress/comedienne Melissa Peterman are teaming up to work together once again. CMT is launching its first sitcom, Working Class, this coming January. Peterman will play Carli, a single mom who aims to give her kids a better life by moving to an upscale suburban neighborhood. Once there she soon discovers that the better life she was hoping for is harder than expected and possibly not all it’s cracked up to be. TV veteran Ed Asner and Broadway actor Steve Kazee costar as Peterman’s cranky next door neighbor/co-worker and brother respectively.
Press Release - Nashville, Tennessee – The Q Morning Zoo recently launched their annual Gridiron Invasion – the prize: an acoustic performance from the Eli Young Band. Rabid EYB fans scurried to their computers to vote andin less than 24 hours a massive 180,000 responses had been tallied. The overwhelming turnout was felt across the nation when the server in Atlanta crashed the next day, leaving 86 radio stations, 15 TV stations, 4 newspapers in the Cox Media Group without email or Internet access. The Houston station was forced to shut down the promotion immediately to allow Cox to regain online service nationwide.
"I've always known that the Eli Young Band is a big deal here in Texas, but this is ridiculous! I've taken what happened as a sign that if I don't play EYB a lot, then something worse will happen," said Johnny Chiang, Cox Radio Houston Operations Manager.
Josh Kelley's newest album is slated for a spring 2011 release. But fans and industry insiders will be treated to a 3 song EP as a teaser leading up to that release. The three songs to be included are his current single, Georgia Clay, as well as A Real Good Try and Ain’t Letting Go.
I am super excited about these songs. These are the perfect three songs for a three-song EP to give people a little taste of what’s to come. Everybody that knows me has said it’s by far the best album I’ve ever made. Everything I’ve learned over the last seven years has led up to this point.
Josh made his Grand Ole Opry debut earlier this month and is currently touring with Miranda Lambert.
After reading his quote (above) I had to google his name to see who he is. As more of an Adult Contemporary/Pop artist, Josh landed his first record deal in 2003 and has since released 6 albums. Georgia Clay's release next year makes number 7. Which more or less amounts to an album a year. He's been one busy man, I think I'll have to go check out some of his earlier stuff along with his current, more country project.

As if Kanye West hadn't already mad a big enough fool out of himself, I guess he is in the mood to keep piling it on higher and higher. This time Kanye has made the claim that Taylor Swift has "rode the waves" of their much-publicized confrontation at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. Kanye made the comment during a surprise performance on Wednesday at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City when he said "Taylor never came to my defense at any interview. And rode the waves and rode it and rode it."
So I guess Kanye thinks he helped to make Taylor as popular as she is? Give me a break, Kanye is just sad that his career can't hold a candle to Swift's rise to fame. The concept that Taylor should have come to his defense during any interview is laughable. I mean come on Kanye, you got up onstage and said Taylor didn't deserve the award she was in the middle of accepting. What kind of defense do you think you deserve for that? Taylor has rode the wave of her own talent, personality and likability. Something Kanye is lacking in every account.
